I build and ship production software for founders and engineering teams.

Web platforms, cloud infrastructure, AI features, and the blockchain layer when the project calls for one.

Six years building with React, Node, AWS, Terraform and Solidity — for a state government department, a US asset manager, and startups in Singapore and California.

Work with me

Three ways to start

Pick the one that matches where you are.

    Technical audit

A codebase, cloud setup or contract suite reviewed line by line.

    timeline1 week

    Pricing on enquiry

    Best for

You inherited a codebase, or something is wrong and nobody can say what.

    What you get

    • Findings document, ranked by severity
    • Fixes described concretely, not "consider refactoring"
    • Risk notes on security, cost and scaling
    • A 60-minute call to walk through it
    • Prioritised backlog your team can pick up
    Most requested

    Product build

A working platform, front to back, deployed and handed over.

    timeline6–10 weeks

    Pricing on enquiry

    Best for

You have a product to build and no team to build it yet.

    What you get

    • React front end, responsive and accessible
    • Node or AWS serverless API
    • Infrastructure as code in Terraform
    • CI/CD, environments and deployment
    • Smart contracts and on-ramp, where relevant
    • Handover docs and a walkthrough with your team

    Lead engineer, part time

Senior engineering judgment on your team, without the headcount.

    timelineOngoing

    Pricing on enquiry

    Best for

You have engineers but no one senior enough to call the hard shots.

    What you get

    • Architecture and design review
    • Regular code review on your repos
    • Team mentoring and pairing sessions
    • Hands-on workshops, Solidity or otherwise
    • Direct line for the urgent questions

Every project is quoted individually. Tell me what you need and you will have a figure within a day.

Custom

Scope, timeline and price built around your project rather than a tier.

Plenty of good work does not fit a package. If yours is one of those, tell me what you are trying to do and what constraints you are under, and we shape the engagement — and the price — around it on a call.

  • A build that runs in phases over several months
  • An audit followed by the fixes it turns up
  • A fixed piece of work inside a larger programme
  • Something none of the three above describes

Systems that hold real money and real records

Nine projects, each a full platform rather than a single layer — front end, API, infrastructure, and a chain component where the problem called for one.

The land record registry interface showing a parcel search and its verified ownership history

    Govt. of Odisha

    Decentralized Land Record Management

A land ownership registry for a state government, where every transfer is traceable end to end.

    • React
    • Solidity
    • Smart Contracts
    • Blockchain
    • dApp
    What I built

Department of Science and Technology, Government of Odisha — delivered as Technical Blockchain Assistant at IIIT Bhubaneswar

Land ownership in India is recorded across registries that rarely agree with each other, and reconciling them is manual, slow and disputable. This system records ownership and transfer on an immutable ledger so the chain of title for a parcel can be traced rather than reconstructed. Delivered as a complete decentralized application: the interface officials use to register, search and verify parcels, the core algorithms the system runs on, and the Solidity contracts holding record state and enforcing the rules a transfer must satisfy — written, tested and deployed. The work was published as a peer-reviewed conference paper.

    • Built for a state government

    GetFi

A Telegram mini-app store with gamified rewards and a conversational AI product recommender.

    • Telegram Mini App
    • AI / LLM
    • Amazon API
    • Node.js
    • Full-stack
    What I built

GetFi — freelance engagement, under NDA

A commerce product that lives entirely inside Telegram: users earn gamified rewards, browse and buy without leaving the chat. The part that made it work is an AI recommendation engine built as a “ChatGPT for shopping” — a conversational front end that reads intent from ordinary questions and surfaces matching products in real time against the Amazon catalogue API. I built the whole thing end to end: the mini-app front end, the backend services behind it, and the recommendation system itself.

The SuperWorld map interface with virtual land plots overlaid on a world map and a listing panel

    SuperWorld · 2020–2025

    SuperWorld Map

A map-based marketplace where every plot of virtual land is an NFT traded on Polygon.

    • React
    • Node.js
    • Express
    • MongoDB
    • Web3.js
    • Solidity
    • Polygon
    What I built

    SuperWorld, California, USA

A virtual real estate platform covering the whole globe, where each plot is an NFT that can be bought, sold and traded. The front end renders a tiled world map with search, ownership overlays and a bidding flow; a Node and Express API over MongoDB handles listings, offers, accounts and notifications; and Web3.js binds the application to the marketplace contracts on Polygon. I also built the payment gateway and third-party integrations so buyers who had never held crypto could complete a purchase, and led the team of five engineers who built and maintained it.

The DOMX purchase flow showing an asset-backed NFT listing and its compliance details

    Bridgetower Capital · 2025–present

    DOMX

A phygital NFT platform where investors buy asset-backed tokens with a card, not a wallet.

    • React
    • GraphQL
    • AWS Serverless
    • Terraform
    • Solidity
    • ERC-3643
    What I built

    Bridgetower Capital

A platform for purchasing NFTs backed by real physical assets. The entire backend runs on AWS serverless, provisioned as code with Terraform so every environment is reproducible and nothing lives only in a console. The token layer is T-REX (ERC-3643), which enforces investor eligibility and transfer restrictions on-chain rather than in application code, shipped with deployment scripts and an automated test suite. I connected the React front end over GraphQL and designed the end-to-end system flows.

    • Compliance enforced on-chain
    • Fully reproducible infrastructure

    BlockX · 2024–2025

    BlockX Staking App

A staking dApp on the BlockX chain, with custom contracts and a React front end.

    • React
    • Solidity
    • Smart Contracts
    • BlockX Chain
    What I built

BlockX, Singapore — freelance engagement, under NDA

Staking infrastructure for the BlockX chain. I designed and wrote the staking contracts — deposit, lock, reward accrual and withdrawal — then tested and deployed them on-chain. On top of that sits a React application that reads live position state and lets holders stake and unstake without touching a block explorer.

    SuperWorld · 2022–2025

    SuperWorld NFT Salon

A crypto and NFT marketplace where creators and collectors list, buy and sell work.

    • React
    • Node.js
    • MongoDB
    • Web3.js
    • Solidity
    What I built

The marketplace side of SuperWorld, separate from the land map: creators mint and list work, collectors browse and buy. Built on the same MERN foundation, with Web3.js binding the listing and settlement flows to the marketplace contracts.

    Certichain

Certificate verification that makes a forged document detectable rather than plausible.

    • React
    • Solidity
    • IPFS
    • Blockchain
    What I built

An anti-forgery system for certificates. The document itself is stored on IPFS and its hash is anchored on-chain, so anyone holding a certificate can verify it against the issuer's record instead of trusting the paper. Built as a decentralized database with the verification contracts and an issuer-facing front end.

    Distributed Doctor

Health records held by patients rather than hospitals, with time-bound access for clinicians.

    • React
    • Node.js
    • Solidity
    • Blockchain
    What I built

IIIT Bhubaneswar — final year major project

Medical records normally sit in whichever hospital system created them, which makes them hard to move and easy to lose. This system distributes them across a permissioned blockchain and inverts custody: the patient holds the keys and grants clinicians time-bound access to specific records. Built as a complete application — a React front end for both patients and doctors, an API layer for record indexing and retrieval, and Solidity contracts governing the access grants and their expiry.

    • Patient-held record custody

    Dell Technologies · 2021

    Process_Lineage

Supply chain traceability that records each manufacturing step as a verifiable on-chain event.

    • React
    • Node.js
    • Solidity
    • Blockchain
    What I built

Built for the Dell Technologies hiring track

A process lineage and control tool for supply chains. Each step in a manufacturing process is recorded as an event anchored on-chain, so a finished unit can be traced back through every component, handoff and quality check rather than trusting a spreadsheet. Built as a web dashboard for querying lineage, an ingest service that accepts process events from the factory floor, and the contracts that anchor and verify them.

How I work

From first email to handover

No discovery phase that bills for a month before anything is built. Four stages, each with something you can hold at the end of it.

  • 01

    Call

    30 minutes

You tell me what you are building and what is in the way. I tell you whether I am the right person for it — including when the answer is no. No deck, no pitch.

  • 02

    Scope

    2–3 days

You get a written scope: what gets built, what does not, the sequence, and a fixed price. Nothing starts until you have read it and agreed to it.

  • 03

    Build

    Weekly

Working software every week, deployed where you can click it. You see progress as it happens rather than waiting for a reveal at the end.

  • 04

    Handover

    1 week

Documentation, a walkthrough with your team, and every credential transferred to you. The infrastructure is code in your repository, so nothing depends on me afterwards.

You can stop after the scope document and keep it. It is yours either way.

In their words

What clients say

Swapnil built GetFi end to end — front end, back end, all of it. He took the project from nothing and shipped every feature we asked for inside the timeline he gave us. The ownership is what I would point to: I never had to chase him for a status update or tell him what came next.

    Selcuk Casur

    GetFi

    on GetFi

Swapnil owned everything we built around BlockX. He did not wait to be told what to improve — he would come back with a better approach than the one we had asked for, and explain it to stakeholders who were not engineers. He was there building the company from the ground up.

    Nick Majumdar

    BlockX

    on BlockX Staking App

The MVP Swapnil built is what turned my proposal into a published paper. He took an idea that existed only on paper and made it something I could stand in front of people and demo — which is the difference between describing research and showing it.

    Atiya Ahmed

    on Distributed Doctor

Five days, from the fundamentals through to the advanced material, and the students stayed with him the whole way. What told me most was that the faculty sat in and stayed too — several of us left understanding blockchain properly for the first time.

    Faculty, Acropolis Institute
